Bratton Clovelly Festival featured in Okehampton Times

We are delighted that the Bratton Clovelly Festival has been featured in this week’s Okehampton Times with an article explaining the story so far and outlining some of the plans for the future.

In this short extract, BCF chair Joanna Wallwork is quoted explaining how Devon County Councillor Kevin Ball helped obtain locality budget funding to purchase the necessary stage lighting to hold events in the Village Hall:

‘He immediately gave the sort of encouragement and support that was needed, explained the application process and, within a short space of time, thanks to his help and the locality budget funding, Bratton Clovelly Festival were staging such varied events as a youth orchestra, an exhibition, a Chinese Mooncake festival and a ceilidh — all with fantastic lighting…

What’s more, the lighting is also available for other community activities, such as amateur dramatics, local talent fundraising events and school productions’
